PROJECT TYPE: Full Apartment Cabinetry
INTERIOR DESIGNER: Last Interior Design
OVERVIEW: Set within a converted warehouse building, Barr Joinery worked closely with Last Interior Design on this riverside apartment, bringing together the cabinetry elements of what would become a bright, restful abode. The project focus was on enhancing and balancing original features, using bespoke cabinetry pieces to compliment exposed brickwork, industrial pillars and Crittall fenestration.

KITCHEN
Simple, flat-fronted inky blue cabinetry is complemented by light oiled oak shelving and a cooker hood. The matt black tap set, shelf hangers, wall lights and ironmongery, and a stainless-steel range cooker nod to the apartment’s industrial origins.

HALLWAY
Cloak cupboards and a floating desk sit into the curved lines and alcoves of the building, making use of the space and respecting the light, open-plan nature of the communal spaces.

BEDROOMS
Bespoke wardrobes feature matt black metal pull handles and integrated lighting. Open-fronted sections showcase individually configured shelves, rails, and drawer sets.

LIVING SPACE
A study area was created in the main living space, utilising a curved corner to create a bespoke desk and shelving unit. Handmade oak posts and V-shaped brackets support open shelving above a simple flat-fronted storage cabinet.

EN-SUITE BATHROOM
A made-to-measure vanity sits into an original brick alcove, giving depth to the space and maximising storage.

A Minimalist Modernisation of a Thames-side Apartment
Set within a converted warehouse building, with its history in the hemp trade and shipping chandlery, the Barr Group team worked closely with Last Interior Design, to turn a dark and enclosed riverside apartment into a light, airy, restful abode.
